MEET THE DESIGNER
The initial 18k gold collection put Aya on the map, both in the US and abroad, with her famous starfish pin and earrings, utilizing beaded textures inspired by the sea and nature from her native country, Israel. Since then Aya has refined and added to her collections, building more elaborate ensembles set with diamonds, pearls, and uniquely colored stones.
As good as gold is how Working Woman magazine referred to Aya when she was honored as one of the top 50 American women business owners. She is an active member and supporter of the Womans Jewelry Association. Aya continuously attracts attention for her imaginative approach to jewelry design and fresh marketing concepts. Her jewelry has appeared in top fashion magazines such as Marie Claire, W magazine, Bridal Guide, and the New York Times, as well as numerous jewelry trade magazines.
Aya was born and raised in the countryside of Israel. Many generations of family members involved in the arts played a role in shaping Aya’s artistic spirit. Sculpture, poetry, philosophy, music, was a daily part of Aya s life. She went on to study fine arts and literature at Haifa University and film making in London.
With a demanding work schedule, many business trips, world travel and philanthropic pursuits, Aya balances the demands of her international business and still enjoys a rich family life. She looks forward to the time spent with her three children. Aya is also an avid collector of modern art, a champion supporter of the performing arts, and an advocate for various charities.
